Spectre Divide launched on PC on September 3, and despite a few hiccups with the game’s servers and occasionally obscene queue times, people seem to be enjoying the free-to-play first-person shooter. However, multiple console ecosystems are waiting for such a game to launch. Can you play Spectre Divide on console?
Can You Play Spectre Divide on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S?
You can’t play Spectre Divide on console yet, but it’s in the works. Developer Mountaintop Studios, alongside the help of renowned content creator Shroud, is working tirelessly to bring their free-to-play FPS to the masses. Yes, that includes players on both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. For now, however, the game remains locked to the PC while undergoing testing.
The studio said, “We’ll be PC-only at launch, but console versions and controller support are both planned for post-launch.”

Does Spectre Divide Have Controller Support?
As we know, the arena shooter is coming to consoles at some point; surely there’s controller support in preparation, right? Unfortunately, no. Spectre Divide does not currently offer controller support, as in its current state, the game is designed for a mouse and keyboard.
Sadly, this also means the game won’t run well on Steam Deck. While it’s possible some savvy player out there will create a functional community layout, it’s a far cry from official support.
What Are the Spectre Divide PC System Requirements?
As you can only play the game on PC for the time being, knowing whether your system can run the game is the next step. These are the currently available system requirements for Spectre Divide:
- OS: Windows 10
- Processor: Intel Core i5 / AMD Ryzen 5
- Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti / AMD RX 6700 XT
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
