Space Marine 2 Gameplay Revealed at The Game Awards

It seemed as though it would never happen, right? Over a decade ago, THQ declared bankruptcy, and as a result, a slew of games went undeveloped – one of them being Space Marine 2. Then, out of nowhere, the long-awaited sequel was revealed in December 2021.

This time, it’s Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment at the helm, and after ten years, fans are chomping at the bit to get involved with Space Marine 2. Now, with another great leap forward, a gameplay trailer has debuted at The Game Awards, and it looks fantastic.

It Was Worth Waiting For, Heretic

For almost a year, we’ve heard basically nothing about Space Marine 2, but following the deployment of the gameplay trailer at The Game Awards, we now have a lot to play with. Last year, the reveal trailer debuted at The Game Awards, so it’s poignant that Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment have followed suit this year.

From the first Space Marine game, Captain Titus will return, with the only difference being that he’s now voiced by Clive Standen (of Taken fame) and not Mark Strong, as was the case back in 2011. As per the original cinematic teaser, players will be pitted against a dominating force of Tyranids, bloodthirsty alien enemies that simply need annihilating.

There’s a diverse, dynamic, and dedicated fanbase out there behind the Warhammer 40K franchise, and that reaches far beyond just the games themselves. As the community has been so patient in the run-up to this reveal, we imagine Saber and Focus will spare no cost in delivering a fantastic product.
