It’s always welcome when a developer pays attention to the community and addresses problems within the game. Even one as exciting and excellent as Space Marine 2 isn’t immune to bugs and glitches. But the game’s most recent hotfix solves many issues, including some crashes. So, here are the Space Marine 2 patch notes!
Full Space Marine 2 Patch Notes
The latest Space Marine 2 patch notes are straightforward, solving many of the community’s issues in one sweep!
Crashes and Bug Fixes
- Fixed some rare possible crashes when starting the game
- Fixed a rare possible crash that occurred during the first cutscene
- Fixed several other rare crashes
- Fixed several rare bugs that were causing soft locks in the story mode
PC Only
- Optimized CPU behavior on high end CPUs
Developer Saber Interactive said, “On top of that first quick fix, we’re preparing a bigger patch for later in September.” The patch they’re talking about includes:
- Ultrawide support
- Private PvE lobbies
- Sparring Arena in the Battle Barge
Overall, this hotfix and the one planned for late this month prove rather small but potent. The fixes for the crashes, which plague much of the community, are welcome!

How to Download the Hotfix
While your system should automatically download the hotfix the next time you boot up the console or your PC, it doesn’t always work that way. You may need to select the game and manually check for an update.
On Steam, check your Downloads page for an awaiting update. Alternatively, you may need to close and reopen the launcher entirely to force the update through. If that doesn’t work, right-click the game and select Properties, Installed Files, and then verify the integrity of the game files. If there’s an update, it will automatically download for you.
On consoles, select the game and, depending on your system, choose the option to check for recent updates.
