Insider Gaming understands that Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 will have its gameplay debut at The Game Awards on December 8.
Developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment, Space Marine 2 is a high-octane new experience set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
Space Marine 2 is a direct sequel to the original title, with Clive Standen voicing the role of Lieutenant Titas (previously voiced by Mark Strong).
The game was announced with a cinematic trailer on December 9, 2021 during The Game Awards and featured The Tyanids as enemies. Space Marine is described as a third-person shooter hack-n-slash.
After the announcement, the official description of the game reads, “The galaxy is in peril. Entire worlds are falling. The Imperium needs you. Embody the superhuman skill and brutality of a Space Marine, the greatest of the Emperor’s warriors, with Clive Standen (Vikings, Taken) as the iconic Captain Titus.”
“Unleash deadly abilities and an arsenal of devastating weaponry to obliterate the relentless Tyranid hordes. Hold at bay the horrors of the galaxy in epic battles on far-flung planets. Uncover dark secrets and drive back the everlasting night to prove your ultimate loyalty to humanity.”
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will launch in 2023 on the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
