Soniqs Wins PUBG: Battlegrounds Esports World Cup 2024

After a week of heavy competition, Soniqs has officially come in first at the PUBG: Battlegrounds Esports World Cup 2024. The American esports team walked out with the first-place trophy, only having a four-point lead ahead of Petrichor Road, the Chinese esports team.

Soniqs Dominates PUBG: Battlegrounds Esports World Cup

The 2024 Esports World Cup has officially come to an end, and the PUBG: Battlegrounds tournament portion did not lack any heat. With some of the best teams in PUBG history competing against one another, fans were able to experience one of the biggest Battle Royale tournaments of all time.

And it would seem like Soniqs was ready to cement their name in PUBG history.

PUBG Esports World Cup

The popular American esports team started out somewhat weak, placing 20th in their first game. In rounds 2-6, though, the team found themselves within the top 10 in each game. In fact, they even won Round 6.

This momentum was handled well, as Soniqs continued to dominate throughout the rest of the tournament. The team finished with 113 points, played over 12 games, and walked away with $700,000 in prize earnings.

Petrichor Road Struggles To Grab First, With FaZe Clan Falling Behind In Third

With some huge teams competing in the PUBG: Battlegrounds Esports World Cup 2024, many organizations struggled to keep up with the likes of Soniqs. A few teams, though, that did stay at the top of the leaderboard, were Petrichor Road and FaZe Clan.

Petrichor Road fell behind first by only four points and FaZe Clan dropped behind second by only five points. TSM even took home fourth place, scoring only six points lower than FaZe. However, KWANGDONG FREECS placed fifth in the tournament, 12 points behind TSM.

While the points margin drastically changed going down the leaderboards, the top teams were still able to keep in close quarters with each other, making the Grand Finals incredibly competitive.
