Skopós: Rainbow Six Siege’s Next Operator Controls Two Full-Body Robots

Ubisoft has teased the next Operator making their way into Rainbow Six Siege. It’s Skopós, a Greek Operator who was once an ‘apex killer’ but was severely wounded in the field, thereafter being confined to a high-tech wheelchair. Now, instead of appearing in battle, Skopós will have two full-bodied robots do her bidding, giving players the option to switch dynamically between the two.

It’s a mechanic that’s reminiscent of ‘Spectre Divide’, which was recently revealed as a next-generation first-person shooter. In that game, players control one character and their ‘ghost’ that can split from them and go off doing different things.

Enter Skopós

Not much is known about Skopós aside from the fact that she’s scheduled to arrive in Operation Twin Shells. The name is derived from the two robots that Skopós controls on the battlefield, which are equal parts resilient and effective.

When a player opts to use Skopós, they’ll be controlling these two robots. When you’ve assumed control of one, the other will automatically hunker down behind a shield. It isn’t yet clear how this unique Operator will work, as it’s easy to see how this could quickly become overwhelming for enemy players.

For some in the community, this seems like the wrong move. Plenty have labelled it an attempt at pandering to disabled players, while others didn’t realise that Skopós controls robots and subsequently threw a fit about an Operator ‘that uses a wheelchair.’

Plenty is coming with Operation Twin Shells, from the new weapons to quality-of-life improvements.

Are you excited to assume control of Skopós?
