You’ll encounter multiple branching quests in Star Wars Outlaws that ask you to either follow the plan or betray your original employer to gain favor and additional benefits with a secondary faction. It’s up to you whether or not you betray someone, affecting the quest itself and the world around you. With that said, should you double-cross the Hutts in Star Wars Outlaws?
Should You Betray The Hutts in Star Wars Outlaws?
First and foremost, know that no matter which faction you side with during Sabotage—and subsequent quests down the line—the story doesn’t change. Your faction standing does alter how you approach some quests, the rewards you receive, and how certain NPCs perceive you out in the world. It can make access to faction-specific zones and points of interest more challenging or more accessible.
With that out of the way, should you betray the Hutts in Star Wars Outlaws? Honestly? It doesn’t make a difference to the storyline but changes how you complete the quest and the rewards you’ll receive here and now. From a purely monetary perspective, it makes sense to side with the Hutts. But if you factor in the overall difficulty of the quest, along with faction reputation mechanics, then it’s better to side with Monda and betray the Hutts.
Should you choose to finish the job as intended, you must kill Monda. It’s a close-quarters fight that shouldn’t pose too much of a challenge. If you betray the Hutts, you’ll still blow up the facility, fight your way out, and return to Jaunta’s Hope, but you won’t receive as many credits.

What Are the Rewards for Completing Sabotage?
The rewards vary depending on your decision. If you refuse Monda’s proposal and finish the job, you’ll receive:
- 1,000 Credits
- Hutt relations increase significantly
- Crimson Dawn relations decrease significantly
Alternatively, if you choose to side with Monda and double-cross the Hutts, you’ll receive:
- 750 Credits
- Crimson Dawn relations increase significantly
- Hutt relations increase slightly
If you don’t mind taking the monetary hit, accepting the betrayal offer is wise.
