Riot Games has officially announced a new gender-mixed Valorant tournament series that will take place online this fall, allowing competitors of all genders to face off against one another. The series will take place during the regular competitive off-season, giving fans plenty of Valorant entertainment throughout the year.
Valorant To Host Gender-Mixed Tournament Series
The newest gender-mixed Valorant tournament series is called the VCT OFF//SEASON Spotlight Series. Every tournament will allow teams of all genders, giving anyone and everyone a chance to compete against each other.
The event will lead up to the Paris Games Week, making it incredibly prominent within the Valorant and esports community.
The event will be invitational, with 14 VCT and Challengers teams being asked to compete. All teams will be required to have two Game Changers players on each team, which is the massive tournament series that Valorant has been hosting since this past winter.
The Grand Final will take place at Paris Games Week on The Main Stage, with over 2,000 spectators. Not only will it be a well-attended event, but the competitors will also be facing off for a piece at a $33,000 prize pool.
