Resident Evil 4, the remake of the original game of the same name, was a part of the PlayStation State of Play on Thursday, receiving a new trailer in the process.
The trailer shows of some new combat gameplay as well as some of the game’s cinematics. Specifically, players get a quick look at the fight with Jack Krauser. You can also get a glimpse of Majini tentacles coming for you as well as a Donkey Kong-inspired minecart ride.
That last part is a joke, so calm down.
In addition to the new gameplay trailer, it was announced at the that a “special demo” for Resident Evil 4 was coming soon. That date wasn’t revealed. Lastly, The Mercenaries gameplay mode is also coming to the game. It will be made available to players as free post-launch DLC later this year.
Resident Evil 4 launches March 24 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. A PS VR2 version of the game is also in development, though a release date for it has not been announced.
According to Sony, “Resident Evil 4 preserves the essence of the original game while introducing modern gameplay and visuals.”
