Remedy Entertainment’s First Multiplayer Game, FBC Firebreak, Coming 2025

You probably know the name Remedy Entertainment thanks to its exceptional work in the story-based horror space, with such impressive hits as Alan Wake, Alan Wake 2, and Control. However, it seems the studio wants to spread its wings slightly. While still firmly planted within the horror space, their upcoming game is the studio’s first foray into multiplayer. At Xbox Partner Preview, Remedy Entertainment revealed FBC: Firebreak, a three-player co-op experience that looks like it’s set in the same world as Control.

From the reveal trailer, which seems to include a bit of gameplay from the upcoming co-op shooter, FBC: Firebreak looks like a story-driven horde shooter experience, with an exciting mixture of Killing Floor 2, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, and elements taken from the studio’s previous single-player horror adventures.

I don’t know about you, but as a long-time fan of the co-op shooter genre, especially horde shooters, I’m downright excited for more entries in the stale genre!

What do you think of FBC: Firebreak? Is the name as bad as I think, or does Remedy have a winner on its hands? Let us know what you think in the comments below, or start a thread over at the Insider Gaming community forums!

FBC: Firebreak isn’t the only new game announcement from Xbox Partner Preview. Other studios unveiled Subnautica 2 and Cronos: The New Dawn, respectively!
