The PlayStation 5 has received the ver. 24.05-09.60.00 firmware update, which introduces two new features for players. The PS5 will let you invite players to their session via a ‘Share Link’. Also, new voice command support has been added to open Game Help. Learn more about the new PS5 features below.
With the latest PlayStation 5 firmware update, players now have a convenient way to invite their friends and other players to their session. To do so, open the game session action card and select the ‘Share Link’ option. Clicking on this option will reveal a QR code that mobile devices can scan to share the link. This feature is only available for open sessions and will be gradually released by July 24.
The next feature introduces new voice command support on the PS5. Players can now open the Game Help action cards by saying “Show Game Help”. This Voice Command feature is in its preview stage and is only available in English for players with PlayStation Networks accounts in the United States and the United Kingdom.
Additionally, the PlayStation 5’s firmware update, ver. 24.05-09.60.00, significantly improves system software performance and stability. Some DualSense wireless controller device software has been updated to enhance stability. Lastly, messages and usability on some screens have been improved.
