2K Sports has officially revealed PGA Tour 2K25, releasing February 28 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The reveal confirms Insider Gaming’s earlier report from November that the game was scheduled to launch early this year.
The first game in the series since PGA Tour 2K23, the newest installment features “several franchise advancements” for players. Those additions include a new EvoSwing mechanic, new shot types, ball flights, physics and visual updates. The game will all feature what 2K Sports is calling “the most immersive and customizable MyCareer experience to date.” The MyCareer mode features the ability to play in three of the four golf majors—The U.S. Open, PGA Championship, and The Open—for the first time along with in-mode interviews. For those wondering where The Masters is, it’s currently exclusive to EA Sports’ PGA title.
As with the last game, PGA Tour 2K25 will feature a short list of playable PGA and LPGA pros at launch. Golfers include Tiger Woods, Matt Fitzpatrick, Max Homa, Justin Thomas, Tony Finau, Lydia Ko, Tom Kim, and Brooke Henderson. More are scheduled to be added to the game post launch.
PGA Tour 2K25 will launch with 29 licensed courses such as Oakmont Country Club, Quail Hollow Club, and Royal Portrush Golf Club. The Old Course at St. Andrews and other courses will be added post-launch. Also returning is the game’s course designer—that includes new tools, surfaces, and items—and the Topgolf mode.
For online players, PGA Tour 2K25 features new cross-platform Societies as well as new daily and weekly Ranked Tour tournaments.
