OpTic Dynasty Proves It Still Has The Gunny in OpTic Legacy Black Ops II Tournament

The ‘OpTicy Dynasty’ comprising Scump, FormaL, Crimsix, and Karma is often considered one of the most formidable forces in Call of Duty history. During the recent ‘OpTic Legacy Match’ event in Arlington, the foursome proved that they’re still a force to be reckoned with as they steamrolled the current Call of Duty League world champions – OpTic Texas.

It was a battle of the old heads versus the new bloods; those who grew the game versus those who continue to uphold it. Every time the Dynasty takes to the stage, OpTic fans froth at the mouth, and this monumental win is an example of why that happens.

Still Got It

OpTic Gaming’s show matches are phenomenal, and in Arlington, a large crowd turned out to sit before a grand stage and watch two OpTic teams battle on Black Ops II. The setup could have rivalled a CDL Major, and everything from the desk to the face-to-face arrangement of stations was pure competition.

In case you want to watch this masterful series unfold in full, here’s the full stream.

Refusing to drop a map against the current Call of Duty world champions was an insane flex, especially given the mix of backgrounds that these competitors now come from. Out of the four, only FormaL is still an active competitor, and he plays Halo. Recently, he landed in second place at the Halo World Championship in Seattle.

Elsewhere, Karma is a coach, Scump is a streamer, and Crimsix is a racecar driver – but all of them still have the skill where it’s needed. At one point during the competition, the OpTic Dynasty team devastated OpTic Texas in a round of Hardpoint on Yemen, securing a 250 – 12 finish.

Phenomenal stuff.

Call of Duty needs more of this energy in the off-season (or pre-season).
