Dataminers have spotted mentions of a PS5 Pro upgrade for No Man’s Sky within mere days of Hello Games revealing details on their massive Worlds Part 1 update. See below the datamined features for this upgrade and the players’ reception.
The details were revealed on X (formerly Twitter) by a game developer and modder named ThatBomberBoi. The No Man’s Sky datamined file contains information on a Graphics Details Preset for ‘Trinity‘, which many might know as the internal codename for PS5 Pro.
Many keen-eyed viewers have noted no radical changes to No Man’s Sky’s PS5 Pro upgrade. The increase of the lowest dynamic resolution factor for the game from 0.6 to 0.8 and the base resolution for No Man’s Sky on the PS5 Pro from 1300p to 1730p are the only ones worth noting. These changes will result in a clearer and more detailed visual experience. Other than that, some settings have been upgraded from High to Ultra, enhancing the overall visual quality of the game.
Players have expressed disappointment with the minimal upgrades for No Man’s Sky’s PS5 Pro upgrade on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours. They had hoped for more, such as the game running at 4K on the mid-refresh, but a bump to 1730p isn’t that significant. Also, many wonder what frame rate they can expect on the PS5 Pro for No Man’s Sky.
Some players have also raised valid concerns about the files’ mention of Nvidia’s DLSS and Reflex technologies alongside Intel’s XeSS, considering PS5 Pro will run on AMD’s platform.
