Nintendo has finally unveiled the Switch 2 after months of leaks and rumours, putting an end to the vast swathes of claims and technical tidbits once and for all. With a short trailer, the team revealed the console in full, announcing an upcoming Nintendo Direct and a hands-on experience taking place in April.
In a follow-up report to the announcement, it was claimed that Nintendo is preparing a manufacturing pipeline that’ll support 20 million units sold in the first year on the market.
Easy Targets
In a recent Bloomberg report (shared on socials by Shinobi602), it was revealed that analysts have estimated a whopping 20 million sales of the Nintendo Switch 2 will land in the first year on the market. Additionally, it was highlighted that Nintendo has prepared a stalwart production pipeline and supply chain network to facilitate that gargantuan sales expectation.
What we know so far is that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be backwards compatible with games from the current Switch, and a new Mario Kart title will be launching on the device. Both digital and physical games from both generations will be playable on the device, which is bigger and more sleek than the first iteration, released in 2017.
Nintendo has dubbed the Switch 2 the ‘successor to Nintendo Switch’ and has stressed it’s set to be released in 2025 – but nobody knows when. It’ll likely be in time for the holiday season, making it this year’s most in-demand Christmas present worldwide.
We’re also waiting to hear what games will surface on the Nintendo Switch 2 when it is released. Thus far, rumours have suggested that Metroid Prime 4, MGS Delta, and even some retro Xbox titles might appear on the console. And of course, the Call of Duty debate is still up in the air.

No with no games and this many delays no. Maybe 2-4 years yes they could do that but no right away especially with little to no games on the platform.
