The next trailer for Borderlands 4 will be revealed during The Game Awards on Thursday.
In a post on social media Monday morning, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford said that the new trailer will air at some point during the show. As far as what’s in the trailer, Pitchford confirmed it will feature actual gameplay as well as cinematics.
“Yes, there is game play in the trailer,” Pitchford said. “Also, in addition to a lot of in-game footage, I will share a sick, never-before-seen original cinematic sequence depicting a moment that occurs about half way between the end of Borderlands 3 and the beginning of Borderlands 4. I AM EXCITE!”
Announced at Gamescom Opening Night Live, Borderlands 4 is currently scheduled to release sometime in 2025. For those worried about it being too close to that of Grand Theft Auto 6, Take-Two Interactive says they won’t launch close to each other.
Insider Gaming will have full coverage of The Game Awards on December 12, including a list of all award winners.
Recently, a terminally ill fan had the chance to play an early version of the game. According to Caleb McAlpine, he said that the game was “amazing” for what he was able to play.

Mafia Old Country?
that’ll be there, too
Will we see Kingdom Hearts 4?
Yujiro Hanma better be in Tekken
Don’t care honestly the announcements I expect as usual to be trash. Gaming has just been dead mostly.
Doesn’t seem like anything big will be here. It’ll be mostly product placement and Hollywood kiss ups.
Also keep an eye out for the new Mafia game!
This was expected there hasn’t been anything exciting in gaming since last gen. Sparking Zero was a glimmer of hope but there’s been nothing on the level of last gen’s announcements.
Will Kingdom Hearts 4, Jump Force 2, the new Arc System Works game, and Midnight Club 3 remake be there?
Will WB Games be here? Last I heard Monolith had another DC game in development outside Wonder Woman and Montreal as well. Also is Netherrealm going to announce Injustice 3 or a Def Jam game because Ed Boon has been teasing that for a while. He’s also been teasing Bloody Roar and Dead Or Alive too not sure if those are in motion. Also Virtua Fighter 6 where’s that at? We gonna see Sonic Heroes remake here?
Hope for Yujiro in Tekken 8 anything else might hurt. Baki would be ok and I think Satoru Gojo would be huge too. It would be awesome if it’s Yujiro and Pickle.
Will Jump Stars Ultimax be here? Been waiting forever for a new Shonen Jump crossover game and still nothing last year was the 55th anniversary of the magazine and we got nothing.
Fans need to demand Kingdom Hearts news from Square. It’s weird how they just avoid talking about it despite revealing it before Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
Is Sony holding a State Of Play this week?
Award show has nothing of interest easy pass
