New Tarkov Event Boosts Airdrops and Pulls Bosses Together

Battlestate Games has added another cryptic image to social media showcasing the next Tarkov pre-wipe event. It’s another typical showing, revealing that airdrops will become much more common while the game’s bosses are being pulled together onto the same map.

This is nothing we’ve not seen before, which is another stab of disappointment for fans holding out for something unique. We’ve already seen the Flea Market locked down, high-value loot spawns increased, skill levelling boosted, and Hideout upgrades accelerated, but nothing ‘fresh’ has appeared as we approach the 0.15 patch.

Dive In

These are events that have surfaced in Escape from Tarkov before.

First, airdrops will become so common that they’ll seem non-stop, with planes flying over every map and dropping stacks of high-end loot for players to fight over. Then, all bosses will appear on the same map at the same time. This is something we’ve seen before in Tarkov, and the last time it happened, the bosses all loaded in on Customs at the same time.

It creates a nightmare scenario for players wanting to take it a little easier, but it’s pre-wipe, so they’ll just need to deal with it.

It’s worth stressing that these events don’t apply to PvE-exclusive players. As PvE doesn’t follow a traditional ‘wipe’ pattern, it isn’t susceptible to these events. Therefore, it’s business as usual for anyone not playing PvP or ‘typical’ Tarkov.

Presently, we’re not sure which map the bosses are spawning on – we’re working to confirm that now.

Are you enjoying the pre-wipe schedule leading up to patch 0.15 being deployed?
