A union within Call of Duty developer Raven Software is claiming that that Activision is “discriminating against” union employees and failing to negotiate in “good faith”.
That’s what the complaint against the company claims in the official charges filed to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
Insider Gaming has received a copy of the complaint via FOIA request. Within the document comes the basis of the charge, which gives more information on claims of retaliation and discipline against members.
“In the six months prior to the filing of this charge, and on an ongoing and continuous basic, the Employer [Activision] discriminated against bargaining unit employees on the basis of their union membership concerning several terms and conditions of employment (e.g., pay treatment, hiring, work assignment and tasking, promotions, permanent work-from-home),” the charge reads.
“The Employer also engaged in surface bargaining, failed to engage in good faith on any economic proposals and on other mandatory subjects of bargaining (e.g., discrimination and harassment at work), and failed to meet at reasonable times and places for bargaining.”
Insider Gaming has once again reached out to Activision and Microsoft for comment on the claims. This story will be updated should a response be received. The last comment from Microsoft was a message to Stephen Totilo in August saying that it will “negotiate in good faith.”
