In Monster Hunter Wilds, one must search every nook and corner of the Forbidden Lands to complete certain side quests. One of the side quests that can be a bit stressful is the Fishing for Flavour quest, where players must find a rare fish. But worry not; this guide will explain how to capture and where to find Gravid Bowfin in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Monster Hunter Wilds Gravid Bowfin Location
As part of Kanya’s Fishing for Flavour quest, players need to capture a Gravid Bowfin in Monster Hunter Wilds. Gravid Bowfins are aquatic creatures found in several locations; however, players should use the ones near a Base Camp, as that allows them to reset spawns more efficiently. In Windward Plains, players can check out the Oasis in Area 13, or for Scarlet Forest, they can check out Area 1 to find Gravid Bowfin in MHW.
Now, one thing that players need to keep in mind is that a Gravid Bowfin has a very low spawn rate in Monster Hunter Wilds and is one of the rarer creatures. This is why players must either rest or fast-travel to different maps to reset the spawns and hope the bright orange fish spawns during one of their attempts. Players must set a base camp in Windward Plains Area 13 for quick, fast travels to and from the Oasis.

How to Capture Gravid Bowfin in MHW?
Most of the tiny critters in Monster Hunter Wilds can be captured using a Capture Net; however, to complete the Fishing for Flavour quest, players must use a more traditional way. Players must use a Fishing Rod to capture the Gravid Bowfin to complete Kanya’s Fishing for Flavour quest. Players should also change their daytime to ‘Morning’ to increase their chances of capturing the fish.
