Modern Warfare 2 and 3 Content Won’t Carry Forward To Black Ops 6

When Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches, everyone starts from scratch. That means load-outs, skins, weapons, and gear won’t carry forward from Modern Warfare 2 and 3 to Black Ops 6.

“We want to make sure that everybody starts fresh, together, as we move into an all-new experience with the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6,” Activision said. “Allowing everyone to experience the Black Ops universe the way it’s meant to be played, learning the era-specific weapons and gear, learning the gameplay innovations like Omnimovement, and keeping that signature Black Ops style is important.

“Therefore, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare® II and Modern Warfare III content will not carry forward to the Black Ops 6 Premium experience.”

There will be one exception to the rule, however. The Black Ops 6 Vault Edition Woods Operator Pack that includes the Classic Woods Operator Skin will be available in Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops 6. Also, Warzone players will still get Carry Forward content for Season 1 of the next game including content from Modern Warfare 2, 3, and Black Ops 6.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches October 25 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, and Game Pass.

  • So Modern Warfare 2 and 3 can still be played as is without Black Ops 6??? I’ve got a lot of money invested in my Skins and characters and don’t want to lose it???

  • And just like that, I’m not buying skins or anything again.

Bought McClane in Cold War, I figured after we got our shit together with MW2 moving everything over, skins after that would continue on, so bought Lara.

Now they don’t transfer? That’s OK, money doesn’t transfer from my account to Activision’s anymore either.

  • Dude there’s already so many bugs, and obvious shortcuts that were taken and never addressed in mw3. Now another yall are pumping out another game…. already? Okay cause fuck anyone who might actually want to enjoy a title for a while. It seems to me call of duty is falling back into the habit of releasing lazily built/designed games every year to really milk the hype from the prior decent titles to carry sales. Sad.
