Minecraft’s Console Developers Show Gameplay For New Game, Reforj

4J Studios, the developers behind the console version of Minecraft, have released a first look at gameplay for their upcoming game Reforj.

The gameplay comes from a pre-alpha build of the open-world survival sandbox game. In it, players get a look at what they’ll be able to do, and how they can build and explore.

“In Reforj, players will explore, build and survive as they establish settlements in hostile conditions, and uncover the secrets of a lost civilization that spans multiple worlds,” 4J Studios said.

What To Expect From Reforj’s Gameplay?

According to the studio, the worlds of the game will be procedurally generated, and include “exotic creatures and strange new elements.” Players will also be able to sculpt blocks into different shapes, including curves, using tools in the game. Lastly, there will also be “ever-changing environments” as you play.

Reforj is being developed using the studio’s Elements Engine. There’s currently know set release date, but Reforj will be available for PC via Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation when it launches. There will also be playtest opportunities for the game. That information will come at a later date.
