According to the latest claims, a full version of Minecraft for PlayStation 5 might be released soon. As per PlayStation Game Size on X (formerly Twitter), a new PS5 ID has been added to the Minecraft database, hinting at the imminent release of the full version. However, an official announcement is yet to arrive.
The preview version of Minecraft on PS5 currently runs through the PS4 version. The developers are working on a native version of the PlayStation 5 to optimize the game’s performance on the console’s hardware. The preview version was rolled out for a limited time, so developers could use the feedback and work on any reported bugs to make the experience smoother once the full version arrives.
Through the preview version of Minecraft on the PS5, players can try out content from the Tricky Trials Update and Realms. Also, users of the preview version cannot access the Minecraft Store and can only play multiplayer with other PlayStation players. Cross-play is only available through Realms.
In other news, Minecraft received a Tetris DLC recently, allowing players to experience the classic game with a unique twist that transforms a round of 2D Tetris into a thrilling 3D dungeon.
