Microsoft is getting into the custom skin game as the company has announced Xbox Series X console wraps.
“We know gamers want to be able to customize their consoles and show support for their favorite games, and we are delivering an option that’s more affordable and more sustainable than purchasing a special edition or limited edition console,” Monique Chatterjee, Senior Design Director at Microsoft, said.
Available for pre-order starting today (August 21), there are three designs to choose from to start. The first two designs are camo wraps — Artic Camo and Mineral Camo — that retail for $44.99. The third is a Starfield-themed wrap that matches the aesthetic of the Starfield headset and controller that were released. The Starfield wrap costs five dollars more at $49.99.

“Made with solid core panels that are layered with high-tech fabric finishes, the wraps are folded around your console and secured with a hook and loop enclosure,” Chatterjee said. “The interior of the wraps are printed with silicone designs that keep the wrap in place.”
As far as release is concerned, the Starfield console wrap will launch in the US, Canada, and Europe on October 18. The Artic and Mineral Camo designs will be available starting November 10 in the US and Canada. Only the Mineral Camo will be available in Europe on November 10.
