Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Won’t Be At Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, It’s Claimed

Nintendo is set to hold its Nintendo Switch 2 Direct event on April 2, and one game that reportedly won’t be there is Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.

According to leaker extas1s, the game won’t be making an appearance at all during next week’s event.

“They are telling me that Metroid Prime 4 won’t have a presence in this Nintendo Direct for the Switch 2,” extas1s said via translation.

He then added that he hasn’t been told by his sources if that means the game is being delayed out of 2025 or when exactly more information on the game will be released.

As with everything, please take the claim with a grain of salt until Insider Gaming can either independently verify the information or an official announcement is made.

While Metroid Prime 4 may not be appearing at the Nintendo Switch 2 direct event, that doesn’t mean Nintendo doesn’t have big plans. The company is rumored to be holding a separate direct event this week for games on the current-gen Switch.

As far as Switch 2 games are concerned, Insider Gaming recently learned that the company is planning to release launch window games over three phases starting around the system’s release. The first phase will focus on first-party titles with third-party games to come later on.

  • Then what’s going to be there and at the April show? They have nothing. Is Mario Kart what they’re banking on? Ok I know there’s a crowd but that’s not enough for me.

  • If there’s no zelda HD ports of ocarina of time majoras mask wind waker and twilight princess there’s seriously something wrong there.

  • There’s Mario Kart. What else is there? It’s not just Nintendo everyone this gen has been lacking! Any like big third party announcements at this or the rumored Direct before it?
