Konami producers have revealed that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was easier to remake than Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2.
In a new interview with Famitsu (via Genki), game producer Noriaki Okamura and creative producer Yuji Korekado explained why it would be harder to remake MGS1/2 than Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Okamura stated that to remake those two games, the developers must make some parts from scratch, including level design. With the remake of MGS 3, the developers only needed to create a few new parts.
Okamura added that they first want players to play the Metal Gear Solid: Delta remake, get feedback, and move forward accordingly. Also, only a small number of the present staff members were involved in developing Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2. Hence, they plan to “create a path to preserve the Metal Gear series for 10 or 50 years into the future” before all those involved with the original titles leave.
Korekado further stated that releasing the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake on PC will increase the game’s chances of being played for the next “10 to 20 years,” and their goal is to achieve that.

No it’s not but while they’re at it remake Policenauts as an action game and Snatcher. Also the PS2 Castlevania games like Lament Of Innocence. Botkai, Bloody Roar, Bomberman 64, Bomberman Jetters, Willy Wombat, Goemon, Zone Of Enders, Suikoden, all of those should be remade. Silent Hill 1, 3, 4 and the prequel.
No it won’t remake 1,2, 4, Rising, and Snake Eater also throw money at Eighting to make a new Bloody Roar finally. Also remake Castlevania Lament Of Innocence and pay Gonzo to make an anime with Igarashi supervising instead of that awful fake anime. Botkai would be a great anime too. Also dub YuGiOh! GX and 5D’s.
