While certainly not the most difficult game, Black Myth: Wukong offers some challenges unique to its core experience as you learn its combat mechanics and movement. But as you explore the beautiful world, you’ll encounter more formidable opponents. They’ll pack a wallop if you’re not careful. Here’s how to level up fast in Black Myth: Wukong!
Level Quickly in Black Myth: Wukong
While it’s true that Black Myth: Wukong isn’t a massive open world, each zone does feature multiple pathways to explore. If you follow the set route, you’ll continue through the game’s storyline, trudging forward to the next objective, and so on. It becomes stale relatively fast, though. You want power. You want to unlock new abilities and stances, right? Then, you want to level up fast in Black Myth: Wukong.
As you explore a zone, travel off the beaten path. Let’s say you spot a small dirt path leading down to a riverbed; head in that direction! Not only will you discover valuable materials necessary for crafting and healing, but you’ll also encounter additional enemies.
You see, not every enemy in the game is plopped directly in your path. Some of them hide in the bushes, scavenge near mushrooms, or sit by the fire off the side of the trail. If you don’t explore, you’ll miss out on a lot of XP.
Furthermore, keep an eye out for smashable barrels. This is a video game, after all. If you smash through the clay pots laying about, there’s a pretty high chance of finding Will inside of them, which you require to level up!

Fight Optional Bosses
Did you know Black Myth: Wukong features a staggering 80 bosses to fight? Most of these are optional side bosses you’ll encounter during exploration through one of the game’s many zones. You don’t have to fight them, but you should. Here’s why!
When you tackle a secret or side boss, it’s not solely a challenge to yourself. It’s a chance to earn additional XP, learn new combat stances, and improve at the combat mechanics for the more challenging story bosses. Those offer the actual fight, and they’re a doozy.
I recommend you fight any boss you stumble upon out in the world!
Speaking of 80 bosses and storylines, did you look at the Black Myth: Wukong achievements? This is definitely one you might want to 100%!
