LEGO Fortnite Update Adding Bus Stations & New Styles This Week

In a new blog post today, the Fortnite team revealed the full details for update 30.40, which brings bus stations and more to LEGO Fortnite this week.

The update rolls out on August 6, 2024, adding both content and some quality-of-life improvements. Bus Stations will enable fast travel, a highly requested feature that uses familiar battle buses to connect across the map.

Today’s blog also reveals that “you can build your own by destroying a Bus Station for Rift Shards, an ingredient for this Station.”

With the v30.40 update, players can finally adjust the settings in their current worlds without having to build something new.

This can allow fans to turn off hunger, and toggle other central mechanics while continuing to enjoy certain builds. However, there are exceptions, such as the mode or Player Elimination.

Notably, the v30.40 update also includes new LEGO style cosmetics. The following LEGO styles are incoming, possibly corresponding to outfits that some players already own:

  • Abyss
  • Antheia
  • The Cube Queen
  • Ember
  • Indiana Jones

This week’s update also includes new toys, a Pirate Lifestyle Bundle, and various fixes or improvements. Alongside the Bus Stations, this major update introduces a lot of convenience to LEGO Fortnite.

A couple of weeks ago, LEGO also announced real-world sets based on Fortnite, such as an iconic Battle Bus and Peely Bone. Those new LEGO sets release on October 1, 2024, and fans can pre-order the sets now.
