Scrap, HyDra, Envoy, and Sender to Join LA Thieves For CDL 2025 Season, It’s Claimed

It has been claimed that the recent news regarding the CDL ‘superteam’ is closer than ever to being made concrete. In a recent post on social media, Jacob Hale said that sources close to the deal have confirmed that Scrap, HyDra, and Envoy are joining the LA Thieves roster for the Black Ops 6 season.

It was also mentioned that Sender will be stepping into the role of coach following the departure of Jordan ‘JKap’ Kaplan several weeks ago.

Never Say Never

A few days ago, the news surfaced that the LA Thieves were looking at piecing together a ‘superteam’ for the CDL 2025 season, which will unravel on Black Ops 6. It was estimated that the swathe of buyouts needed to assemble this team would equal around $750,000, but per the latest reports, that’s all set to go ahead.

Jacob Hale confirmed on Twitter that Toronto Ultra’s Scrap and Envoy, and Cloud9’s HyDra are all set to join Ghosty on the LA Thieves in the coming season. That ensemble has the potential to win at least a couple of chips next year, no questions asked.

Scrap has flown the Ultra banner since his rookie season, becoming known as a prodigy and one of the most controversial and charismatic competitors in the Call of Duty League. He’s a loudmouth player with the talent to back it up, but ultimately, he has missed out on a few chips and even a ring or two because of a seeming inability to finish when it matters most.

HyDra has repped the New York Subliners (now Cloud9) since breaking into the CDL in 2020. He’s a multi-award-winning player with a championship ring and three chips under his belt, and he’s widely regarded as one of the best Call of Duty players in the world.

When combined with the IGL skills of Dan ‘Ghosty’ Rothe and the ten-year competitive tenure of Dylan ‘Envoy’ Hannon, you’ve certainly got the makings of a supreme power team.

As Hale said on Twitter, the ‘situation could still change, but the team is looking likely.’

We’ll be watching this one closely, just in case.
