Now that everyone has forgotten that Conor McGregor ever existed in Hitman: World of Assassination, IO Interactive is moving on to bigger, better things. Today, the team revealed that the game’s next ‘Elusive Target’ will be none other than Jean-Claude Van Damme, playing the role of a former hitman by the name of Max Valliant.
He’ll be surfacing in the game on December 12 and will be available for assassination until January 12.
The Elusive JCVD
In a short trailer celebrating the arrival of the latest Elusive Target, IO Interactive allowed Jean-Claude Van Damme a little screen time:
The latest Elusive Target arrives as part of ‘The Splitter’, a special event that’s playable for free by anyone who owns Hitman: World of Assassination.
This is an all-new Elusive Target that follows on from the disgraced Conor McGregor, who was forcefully removed from the game by IO Interactive following his sexual assault prosecution in a Dublin court last month.
Historically, the Elusive Target missions have posed the biggest challenges possible, with players being introduced to a ‘pulse-pounding experience’ that sees them hunt down a unique target while agreeing to various handicaps.
The Splitter will be no different in that respect as if it wasn’t daunting enough being tasked with assassinating Jean-Claude Van Damme.
