An Indie Developer Just Made An IShowSpeed Game, Because Why Not?

IShowSpeed is an acquired taste. To many, he’s a source of great entertainment and non-stop hijinks, but to others, he’s a bizarre, loud, and overly aggressive attention seeker who shouldn’t have ever learned how to use a camera. Regardless of what you think of him, his ascension to internet greatness happened remarkably fast, and in a short time, he has become a force of nature.

Everywhere he goes, crowds follow him. He has pulled in almost 30 million subscribers on YouTube in just a couple of years, and he’s constantly popping up in high-profile locations and productions without anyone ever expecting him.

And now, an indie developer by the name of Gorka Games has immortalised him in video game form.

IShowSpeed: The Game

If you’ve ever wanted to sprint around barking at passers-by, you might just be in luck with IShowSpeed: The Game, a free indie title from Gorka Games. It was revealed recently with a short trailer that showcased some of the core elements of the title, which include climbing over things, running around while chasing and being chased by people, and doing spontaneous backflips.

That’s a run-of-the-mill rundown of IShowSpeed’s repertoire.

Here’s the game’s description from Gorka Games:

You play as IShowSpeed, where you run wildly through the streets doing backflips and… barking at people.

You can interact with your camera man, fans, do crazy stunts, and create the craziest interactions in the IRL stream.

The goal is simple: cause chaos, keep the IRL stream fun, and watch your viewer count climb!

It’s available to download from Gorka Games’ site for free on PC, weighing in at a measly 4.82 GB.

We often spend much of our time debating which release will wind up being regarded as ‘Game of the Year’. This year, we’ve had a few competitors, including the likes of Wukong, Helldivers 2, and even Shadow of the Erdtree, if you’ll consider an expansion as a candidate.

But now, IShowSpeed: The Game emerges into the wild, and the paradigm is forever shifted. Look upon this creation and marvel, for it is the peak of gaming innovation.
