Anyone playing on a console these days knows there’s a distinct lack of certain genres. With the rising popularity of the extraction shooter, it’s becoming increasingly obvious the top titles in the genre skip over console players altogether. But why? Will that change? Is Dungeonborne coming to consoles?
Can You Play Dungeonborne on Consoles?
Unfortunately, there is no way to play Dungeonborne on consoles currently. The developer behind the medieval extraction game, Mithril Interactive, has not revealed any plans to bring their first-person title to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S.
They’re not alone in this line of thinking, either. There are far too many extraction games on the market today only available on PC, including Dark and Darker and Escape From Tarkov. There are plenty more on the way, like Beautiful Light and Project L33T, which will also exclusively launch on PC.
It seems everyone playing from the comfort of a console in their living room must wait for a major extraction shooter to take a chance on consoles!

Will Dungeonborne Ever Come to PlayStation or Xbox?
Unfortunately, there isn’t much to speculate on currently. The studio hasn’t unveiled any plans to bring Dungeonborne to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S, despite the marketing craving for a competent extraction shooter on consoles.
Could it happen? Of course! Will it happen? We’re unsure. Considering Dungeonborne’s direct competitor, Dark and Darker, isn’t available on consoles, if Mithril can make it happen first, they have a clear opportunity to lead the race. But that’s additional resources and development time the studio may not be able to afford.
