Following the biggest update to the game yet, Hunt: Showdown has now evolved into Hunt: Showdown 1896. The horror extraction shooter steps forward chronologically to an all-new year, with a new setting of Colorado, and a handful of gameplay tweaks and new content for returning players. Can You Play Hunt: Showdown 1896 on PS5?
As part of the massive content update that took the game’s servers offline for two entire days, Hunt: Shodown 1896 is now available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S for the first time as of August 15. Unfortunately, with this update, support for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One concludes, leaving quite a few players behind.
But for those who play on the current-gen system, this is a game-changing update that introduces a brand-new map, Mammon’s Gulch, in Colorado. There are also new weapons, equipment, traps, ammunition, a reworked UI, better weekly challenges, and far too many bug fixes and quality-of-life tweaks to list here without boring you to death.
