Squid Game Season 2 continues the fine work started by the historic first batch of episodes released in 2021. The second visit to the murderous world includes a bunch of new mini-games designed to cull the weak and unfortunate. However, one game remains—Red Light Green Light. Black Ops 6 includes the playground game as part of its Squid Game Event, but Zombies goes one better with Dead Light Green Light.
I’m here to show you how to set up a game and how to defeat the imperious Young-hee doll.
How to Play Dead Light Green Light in Black Ops 6 Zombies
Access Dead Light Green Light from the Black Ops 6 Zombies menu to start this challenge.
Here’s a quick set of tips in case this is your first time:
- Load up Black Ops 6.
- Out of Campaign, Zombies, and Multiplayer, choose the middle option of the three.
- Choose Select Mission.
- Pick Dead Light Green Light.
- Wait for Black Ops 6 to load up a match and get cooking.
How Does Dead Light Green Light Work in Black Ops 6 Zombies?
In Dead Light Green Light, you can move around as normal on Green Light, you need to stop moving on Red Light, and you must run like the wind to endure and survive Dead Light.
Green Light
Move around as you would normally. Kill Zombies and play CoD Zombies as you would usually. Green Light is our best friend here, and you earn twice as much Essence too.
Red Light
Stop moving. You must become catatonic the second the game mode indicates Red Light is active. Failure to do so warrants a huge penalty—you lose a significant amount of Essence for every second you move. You won’t survive long without Essence, so make sure you adhere to the rules.
Plus, Essence loss scales according to the round level. The deeper you get into a game, the more Essence you lose. If you run out of Essence, any further losses are taken from your HP instead.
Dead Light
Do the opposite of Red Light: Sprint until your lungs are empty! In Dead Light, Zombies become supercharged, fast-running, nearly unkillable fiends. I advise you to run around and avoid Zombies like the plague and pray to the heavens Dead Light passes as quickly as it starts.
How to Beat Dead Light Green Light in Black Ops 6 Zombies
You need to survive until Round 10 and Exfil to survive and win Dead Light Green Light.
This may seem easy, but if you’ve tried out the Squid Game-themed mode, you’ll know it’s anything but. This is why I’ve come up with a handful of useful tips you should use to complete this special LTM in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
- Follow the light instructions. Don’t get smart: If it’s red, you stop, if it’s green, you move, and if it’s dead, move more—or YOU will die.
- Unlock and use a Squid Game 2 Operator skin to earn more XP while playing the LTM.
- Seek out all pick-ups and Squid Game piggy banks as getting the most Essence is crucial if you need to move for whatever reason.
- The Exfil is in the starting spawn area—keep this in mind when you get close to the endgame.
