Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is out now in early access and boasts a massive roster of more than 180 characters. Much of the roster is already accessible at launch, but some good fighters must be unlocked to become playable. This guide will teach you how to unlock Dragon Ball Sparking Zero characters.
Unlocking characters in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero might take some grinding, as most need to be unlocked and purchased from the store. Players must increase their proficiency level by participating in the game’s story mode, custom mode, online PvP mode and other game modes to unlock characters. At the same time, they need to earn Zeni (in-game currency) to purchase these unlocked characters.

Levelling Up and Earning Zeni
As mentioned earlier, levelling up is key, and after reaching level 20, all purchasable characters will be unlocked in the store. Levelling up can be done through all game modes, but Episode Battle is the ideal choice. In this game mode, players will be provided with a bunch of Zeni after completing each mission, along with some characters as the story progresses.
There are additional challenges, such as Zen-Oh’s Orders and Whis’ Stampbook on the ‘Challenges and Missions’ page, that players can complete for bonus Zeni, which will help towards purchasing the rest.

Wishing
Another way to unlock Dragon Ball Sparking Zero characters is by wishing for them. Players can want to buy certain characters directly from Super Shenron or ask for more money from Shenron or Super Shenron. However, this requires you to collect Dragon Balls and Super Dragon Balls in the game, which can be a task. But if you own the Ultimate Edition or the Deluxe Edition, you are granted some wishes at launch.

I miss when playing the single player unlocked the characters not a fan of this way. The game is still missing a ton of characters I hope they don’t do this with DLC. The other games I’ll still say were better Budokai 1-3, Tenkaichi 1-3, Shin Budokai and Another Road, Raging Blast 1-2, and Burst Limit. Having actual cutscenes would be great too not cheaper out versions what is with the modern games doing this the PS2 and 360 games didn’t cheap out this much. I swear Bandai is just cheap with anime titles now put money there instead of the garbage games like Tekken or that Amazon game Blue whatever. This is why I guess they don’t have Demon Slayer I hope we get an update on Hinokami Chronicles 2 soon. Still no Jump Force follow up but would they cheap out on that too?
