How to Get Units in Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals Units are something you’re likely to pick up on very early. One, because you are bound to obtain them and wonder what they do, and second, because you will inevitably want more. Getting Units in Marvel Rivals isn’t hard, and NetEase gives you a handful of different methods.

The wait for heroic, heart-stopping action is over. Marvel Rivals has made its long-awaited entrance with a solid superhero landing, and there’s a lot to it. You should be very busy as you take time to learn the deep roster of characters and experience the large selection of maps.

Amongst all of this is Units—a total in the top corner of your screen likely to rise and fall. Getting Units is vital, and I’m here to explain how to get them, what they do, and more.

How to Get Units in Marvel Rivals

You get Units in Marvel Rivals by completing Missions, leveling up the Battle Pass, and buying Units using the Lattice paid currency.

Battle Pass

Marvel Rivals is a live-service shooter, and as such, it has seasonal Battle Passes to keep its revenue influx healthy. At launch, Rivals has a Battle Pass, allowing you to earn the occasional free goodies, but the biggest attraction is the Luxury Battle Pass. Each level of the Luxury Battle Pass gives you a new reward for each tier you tick off—until you complete the final tier of the pass.

Units are included as Battle Pass rewards, and they are split between the free tiers and Luxury tiers. This incentivizes you to purchase the Luxury Battle Pass because if you pay for the Luxury Battle Pass, you can earn more Units.

Lattice

Marvel Rivals has several currencies, and Lattice is the hero shooter’s main paid currency. Again, like most free-to-play titles, procurable currency allows NetEase to make money to pump back into Marvel Rivals. So, you can buy different bundles of Lattice, and this can be used to buy Units. It’s simple, and easy, but costly—depending on how keen you are for Units!

Missions

Next to the Battle Pass tab is the Missions sub-menu option. Press this for me, and you can see three different groups of challenges to strive to complete:

  • Daily Missions.
  • Challenges.
  • Season Events.

Right now, you can secure extra Units for tackling Season Event missions. However, there’s every chance future Daily Missions and Challenges will also offer this glorious benefit. So keep checking Daily Missions, Challenges, and Season Event tasks for new opportunities to get Units.

What do Units do in Marvel Rivals?

Units are a premium currency used to buy cosmetics in Marvel Rivals.

Every character in Marvel Rivals has alternate outfits with some being throwbacks to different eras of the hero. If you want to buy these extra costumes, you need Units—and you know how to get them now.

The Marvel Rivals Store has a ton of different bundles for the character roster, so check them out, and see how much Units currency you need.

Are you going to spend your real money on Units? Or do you not think it’s worth it? Be sure to let us know. Also, check out an interesting leaked character coming to Marvel Rivals.
