The new Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies map, Citadelle des Morts, has officially arrived in the Season 1 Reloaded update. The map plants players in an abandoned castle in Europe, as they fight to uncover more of the main story. The new map introduces players to the Bastard Sword, a brand-new Wonder Weapon that every player in the game can get and upgrade.
These new melee Wonder Weapons can absolutely destroy Zombies in fast fashion, but you’ll need to find them first. Getting these Swords is also one of the first steps in the main Easter egg for Citadelle des Morts in BO6.
With that said, here’s how to get the Citadelle des Morts Swords in BO6 Zombies.
How to get Swords in Citadelle des Morts
- Load into Citadelle des Morts and purchase the doors to the castle.
- Follow the objective and kill the boss to reveal Pack-a-Punch.
- A special Zombie with a knight’s helmet should start to appear in-game after about round 10.
- Kill this Zombie to obtain a Stamp.
- Hold the interact button to use the Stamp on one of the four knight statues in the main overgrown courtyard.
- The knight statue will present the sword for you to pick up.
There are a total of four knight statues in Black Ops 6 Zombies’ Citadelle des Morts map, all of which have a sword to give. We found that the knight helmet Zombies didn’t spawn until around the tenth round. The red-eye traps were also very helpful for killing Zombies and finding Stamps easily.
You can only use a Stamp once, but you can pick another up so long as you find a Zombie with a knight’s helmet on. The knight statues can be found in the courtyard area, which is opened up after using the canon to destroy the castle door.
The Citadelle des Morts Swords are Melee Weapons, so they won’t take up one of your weapon slots but will instead replace your Knife. The Sword has two attacks, a swipe and a parry/block. You can use the parry to deflect Parasite shots back to the sender.
Once you get the Citadelle des Morts Sword, you can then upgrade it to either the Caliburn, Durendal, Solais or the Balmung. We don’t yet know all the steps required to upgrade these swords into the different elemental variations, but once we know we’ll be sure to push out a guide explaining how to do each of them.
Finding and upgrading these Swords is essential to the Citadelle des Morts Easter egg, so if you’re looking to solve the mystery, you’ll want to stay tuned!
