How to get Promo 10 Mewtwo Card in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Promo Cards have different levels of rarity in Pokémon TCG Pocket. The Promo 10 Mewtwo card is easily one of the most revered and sought-after, and adding it to your Pokémon Pocket collection is harder than it seems.

I’m a complete sucker for fun-looking and special cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket. While I derive great pleasure from many of the common cards and obtaining my favorite Pokémon, we all want the Hyper Rares and Full Arts.

In addition to the main-set cards, Pokémon TCG Pocket features a lot of Promo cards that can be earned in various ways: Completing special challenges, buying them from the Store with Tickets, and pulling them from Wonder Picks. The Promo 10 Mewtwo card is the attention of our focus today, and if you’re struggling to get it, there’s a very good reason why.

Currently, the Promo 10 Mewtwo card cannot be obtained in Pokémon TCG Pocket. If you’ve been scratching your head wondering how to get the Promo 10 Mewtwo card, as of writing, it’s currently unavailable, and impossible to add to your collection.

When is Promo 10 Mewtwo coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket?

A leak has suggested the Promo 10 Mewtwo card is coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket as part of a Premium Pass—although the date is yet to be verified.

The source is from a popular, continually updated Pokémon TCG Pocket subreddit post, featuring a complete content datamine of the card-collecting title’s first few months. The leak is translated from its original Pocket Scroll source, and says the Promo 10 card is “expected to be included in the Premium Pass as a special reward.”

If this transpires, it’s unclear if it’s part of the first Premium Pass, or if it’s arriving as part of future Pokémon TCG Pocket expansion content. The leaks claim Promo 10 is a Full Art Mewtwo, and this rumor has been reiterated by notable Pokémon site Serebii. The leaked design is incredible, with Mewtwo hovering over a city, sporting an intensely angry look, and gesticulating menacingly.

Its HP, Retreat criteria and moveset are in line with the normal #128 Mewtwo card in the Genetic Apex set:

  • HP: 120
  • Moveset: Power Blast, 120 Damage, requires two Psychic Energy and two Colorless Energy, and discards two Psychic Energy once used.
  • Weakness: Darkness Moves.
  • Retreat Cost: Two Colorless Energy.

Keep checking back as we look to update this once the card is officially unveiled in Pokémon TCG Pocket.
