Following the launch of Season 5 in Diablo 4 and a patch full of fixes, quality-of-life tweaks, buffs, and nerfs to your favorite class, many find themselves enduring error codes. If you can’t log in and play the new season, well, you’re not alone. Here’s how to fix error code 75 in Diablo 4!
How to Fix Diablo 4’s Error Code 75
Perhaps the most common error code currently plaguing the game is code 75, which provides the following message: “There was a problem authenticating your account.” It sounds worse than it is, though. Don’t worry; once the error code disappears, you still own a legit copy of Diablo 4 and are fully capable of playing the game.
To fix error code 75 in Diablo 4, close out of the game and check for a Diablo 4 update. Code 75 generally appears because your game is out of date, and you’re attempting to connect to the live servers. You may need to force your system to update. On Steam, you can right-click the game and navigate through Properties and Installed Files to “verify game files.” On Battle.net, a gear icon allows you to check for an update. On consoles, restart your system. A restart should force the game to update once you’re back on the home screen.

Are There Lasting Consequences to Error Code 75?
No! While it sounds terrible on paper, error code 75 is one of the most common errors the game provides players. It’s a simple fix, resolved by updating your game and relaunching, and then you won’t have to worry about it.
If the issue persists, give it some time. There may be a problem on the server side, though it’s rare these days!
