How to Find Dragon Balls in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

Bandai Namco’s latest 3D fighter and the successor to the iconic Budokai Tenkaichi series, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, is available now in early access. One of the popular systems of all Budokai Tenkaichi games was collecting Dragon Balls to summon the Eternal Dragons that grant your wishes, and this system has made it into the new game. This guide will tell you everything you need to know about Dragon Balls and Wishing in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.

There are three Eternal Dragons in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, Shenron, Porunga and Super Shenron, each having their own specific Dragon Balls. To summon Shenron, you need to collect 7 Earth Dragon Balls, 7 Namekian Dragon Balls to summon Porunga and 7 Super Dragon Balls to summon Super Shenron.

How to Collect Dragon Balls in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

Players who purchased the Deluxe Edition of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero can summon Shenron as soon as they enter the game. Ultimate Edition owners can summon both Shenron and Super Shenron. Don’t worry; if you have not bought either of these editions, you can still summon all 3 Eternal Dragons, but you will need to grind a bit.

Earth Dragon Balls

There are three ways of collecting Earth Dragon Balls. The first way requires you to head to the ‘Challenges & Missions’ tab and select ‘What’s Stamp Book’. Here, you can complete specific challenges to earn a complete set. The second way is completing Episode Battles, and the third is through random drops in battles.

Namekian Dragon Balls

There is no foolproof way to collect Namekian Dragon Balls, and it requires a lot of grinding. Namekian Dragon Balls can only be collected as random rewards after completing any mission or battle in the game. One of the best ways to try and farm these Dragon Balls is by playing offline battles against weak fighters. Tournament rewards can also contain Namekian or Earth Dragon Balls at times.

Super Dragon Balls

Super Dragon Balls must be earned through Episode Battles. Completing all story missions for characters like Goku will fetch you a complete set of Super Dragon Balls; other characters with branching storylines will gift additional sets, too.

Summoning and Wishing in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

After collecting all sets of Dragon Balls, you must head to the ‘Come Forth’ page in the main menu to summon any of the Eternal Dragons. Shenron, Porunga and Super Shenron have different types of wishes, and the rewards vary for each. In the case of Porunga, players can wish three times. Super Shenron is the only Eternal Dragon that can grant characters as wishes; these include Black Goku and Zamasu.

  • Super Shenron is a stupid name. I thought the Black Star Dragon Balls would be in this I guess not. This game needs better single player I hope they add the GT Sagas, Super Dragon Ball Heroes, and OG Dragon Ball with actual animated cutscenes not stills and voice acting not just text. Tenkaichi 2 and 3 are still the best the main menus too especially and opening movies and music 2 is still the best. Daima I guess will have content too hope that’s good.

  • I miss the old Tenkaichi 2 encyclopedia the new voice actors aren’t it also the ChiChi dub actress whoever directed her did a bad job. They got Stephanie back hopefully they get the original Bulma back too. I hope the DLC gives us Dragon Ball stuff all the OG stuff I mean the Bandai head of marketing said Tao would be in this there’s no Tao! This game has work to be done for DLC. Also Black Gohan is stupid would have preferred other things like Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta and Broly or Super Saiyan 4 Broly or Buu absorbs Beerus those would be cool. Super Saiyan God Tru is and Goten also Gogeta and Gotenks also Gohan I swear if Vegeta can do it then they should too. Trunks and Goten potara also.

  • I hope this is the wake up call for Bandai Namco the wake up call this did amazing and sold out physically meanwhile Tekken and other games struggled. Make a Shonen Jump crossover game now with like 200+ characters from all the Shonen Jump franchises old and new in a game arena fighter, Arc System fighter, or platform fighter that would make money! I swear how out of touch can they be and yes I want Shaman King and Kinnikuman in it Cobra too!

  • Maximilian Dood and his douchebag friends are slandering this game meanwhile their garbage all flopped! This better win GOTY Geoff!
