Honor of Kings was released worldwide on June 20, finally leaving the operating model that saw the game being made available in just a few countries, including China, Brazil, and Turkey. This competitive mobile MOBA has been available in China since 2015, and in 2016, an adaptation of sorts named Arena of Valor was released internationally.
Recently, the team at TiMi Studio Group revealed that since the worldwide launch took place, Honor of Kings has been downloaded more than 50 million times.
Immense Power
Honor of Kings is one of the most popular mobile games ever made – and a solid esports title. It was estimated that as of November 2020, more than 100 million daily active players were logging in to play the Tencent-published MOBA, which by numbers alone made it one of the most popular games in the world.
The team has just revealed that since June 20 and the worldwide launch of the game, more than 50 million downloads have been recorded:
The worldwide version of the game has been published by Level Infinite, a label that has brought or introduced many games to the global market, including PUBG Mobile, Assassin’s Creed: Jade, Delta Force: Hawk Ops, and Exoborne.
Honor of Kings continues to wow players worldwide, offering up a rapid MOBA-based platform that’s much faster in terms of pacing when compared to other MOBAs in the space, such as League of Legends or Dota 2. It has a successful Ranked Play mode, various arcade-based features, and a solid soundtrack that 2was once composed by Hans Zimmer.
