According to a new tweet on the game’s official feed, Hogwarts Legacy will release all-new updates and features this summer.
Further, content that was previously exclusive to PlayStation will be released “on other platforms later this summer”.
Currently, PlayStation fans have access to an exclusive Haunted Hogsmeade Quest, Hogsmeade Shop, and shopkeeper cosmetic. Pre-order bonuses also included a Felix Felicis potion recipe.
There are no concrete release dates for any of the upcoming changes. But today’s announcement asks fans to “stay tuned in the coming months” for further details.
Today’s announcement does not confirm if all of the PlayStation exclusives will release on other consoles. The Felix Felicis potion recipe was a pre-order bonus, so it may not show up.
Also, the tweet doesn’t mention specific platforms. But the exclusives will likely release on all available platforms. Hogwarts Legacy is currently available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and the Nintendo Switch.
It’s unclear if the PlayStation exclusives will launch all at once. They could simply roll out across each other platform over time.
After all, the Nintendo Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy was ultimately delayed last year.
Hogwarts Legacy continues to thrive, and it was a major success in 2023. In fact, there are rumors that a sequel to the game is already in the works. This would certainly be a sensible move.
Just last week, data from Circana suggested that Hogwarts Legacy was the best-selling game of 2023. This marked the first time in years that any game surpassed a Call of Duty or Rockstar title.
The developers did not elaborate on their Hogwarts Legacy updates coming this summer. But it will presumably add all-new quests. And new “features” could also imply entirely unique mechanics.
