“Whether it’s adding small touches like hair styles or character cosmetics or diving deep with gameplay changes like new dungeons and quests, I’m excited for what I’ve seen so far, ” Community Manager Chandler Wood said.
Wood added that the team has been working with mod creators ahead of the feature’s release to make sure there are “really cool things ready to play with” right at launch.
Those who want to create their own mods will be able to do so with the Hogwarts Legacy Creator Kit that’s available for free on the Epic Games Store.
Released in February 2023, Hogwarts Legacy was the best-selling game of 2023 and has sold over 30 million copies across all available platforms. Currently, there is a Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition in development at Avalanche Software. Hogwarts Legacy 2 is also in production.
