How to Hide Your Helmet in Towerborne

When I play an RPG, especially one with character customization, I don’t often like to hide my creation behind a helmet. Sure, there are rare occasions where a helmet is so dang stylish that I can’t help but wear it to every party in Thedas and beyond, but sometimes, I want to go au natural. Here’s how to hide your helmet in Towerborne!

How to Hide Helmets in Towerborne

To hide your helmet in Towerborne, open the game’s character menu with ‘ESC’ on the keyboard or ‘Pause’ on a controller, then under Loadout, select your Helmet equipment slot. Down at the bottom of the HUD, you’ll now have a new togglable option that reads “Hide Helmet.” The hotkey to activate this feature is ‘1’ on a keyboard or click in ‘LS’ on a controller.

Alternatively, if you’re using a mouse and keyboard, you can click the “Hide Helmet” text to remove the helm. This leaves your character with the armor rating of the equipped item but not the actual cosmetic. It’s the best way to showcase your stylish character with their unique hairstyle and face tattoos!

How to Transmog Helmets in Towerborne

If you like wearing a helmet in video games but don’t like the appearance of your current equipment (I don’t blame you because the Novice’s Helmet is ugly!), you can transmogrify your item with unlocked cosmetics. If you have cosmetics from the game’s Founder’s Packs, select the helmet equipment slot and hold down ‘Space’ on the keyboard or hold ‘A’ on a controller to access the cosmetics section of the equipment screen. Here, you can transmog specific pieces of equipment with purchased cosmetic skins.

As the game features a section on its menu for an in-game store, we suspect they’ll have a number of unique cosmetics available to buy later. For now, the only thing available is your Founder’s Pack items.
