Helldivers 2 Players are Flying Across the Map Thanks to a New Emote Glitch

Helldivers 2’s latest patch has brought along an emote glitch that allows players to fly across the map.

Spotted on the r/Helldivers subreddit, a user has posted about the Helldivers 2 emote glitch. The player walks off a bridge to perform this glitch while spamming the emote key. If you time it well, your character can fly across the entire map while performing awkward squats mid-air. However, it doesn’t seem too easy to replicate, as one of the teammates in the video died instantly while trying.

The players in the comment section are not disappointed with this glitch, with some calling it a new Stratagem. Interestingly, the game director of Helldivers 2, Johan Pilestedt, has also replied to this post, with the Homer Simpson disappearing in bushes GIF. Many have responded to the game director’s comment, asking him to add the glitch as a new mechanic or game mode.

The glitch seems to have arrived with Helldivers 2 patch 1.001.100, which featured a major overhaul of Anti-Tank, Armor Penetration, Health and Armor Values, weapon and stratagem balancing, and much more. Since then, the developers have also issued a hotfix to address crashes and the shield generator bug. However, the flying emote glitch hasn’t been fixed yet.
