After spending 100 hours grinding through every task in Gray Zone Warfare, I took a break. I had every intention of becoming a sherpa, but man, that was a long haul to the finish line. But like many of you, I’m not done with the tactical shooter yet. The game’s development is ongoing, and with all-new weapons, tasks, and a day/night cycle, it’s only getting better. Now, you can test Gray Zone Warfare Patch 0.2.2.0 on the public experimental branch on Steam to see what the team at Madfinger Games is cooking up!

As announced on the game’s official Steam page, Madfinger Games aims to improve overall performance and stability, reduce overkill AI, adjust task parameters, and other key fixes and crashes that prevent operators from enjoying the game thoroughly!
Crashes
“This build addresses several crash types, including GPU-related and shader compilation crashes. Please help us test it and let us know if any issues persist.”
Key Fixes
- AI locking on players without shooting/moving
- AI suddenly appearing in front of the player
- Audio malfunction after relaunching
- FPS drops when using flashlights
- Seeker of Change task which couldn’t be finished if the player lost the collected sample
- Issue causing players to reconnect to a different server and result in an Online Persistence Error
- Radiation rising even after leaving the affected area
- Issue allowing players to sprint indefinitely, while crouching
- Reduced excessive head bobbing while sprinting
