G.I. Joe Snake Eyes Could be an Open-World Game According to Recent Job Listing

According to a recent Hasbro job listing, the upcoming G.I. Joe Snake Eyes game will seemingly be open-world.

The job listing is for a senior world/Level designer for a brand-new development studio called Atomic Arcade. The studio is in the process of finding staff to work on their first multi-platform AAA game. The upcoming title will be “a bold and contemporary new take on the G.I. Joe Universe,” and it will star the iconic character Snake Eyes.

The new listing revealed that the upcoming G.I. Joe Snake Eyes title will be a AAA third-person action adventure. The listing also asked for ‘experience working on open-world and/or Sandbox projects’ in the Extra Credit section, suggesting this could be an open-world G.I. Joe game.

The last update we received about the upcoming G.I. Joe Snake Eyes game was through a blog post in 2023. Atomic Arcade revealed then that the game had officially transitioned from the concept stage to the pre-production phase. Atomic Arcade is part of Hasbro’s Wizards of the Coast division, known for creating top-rated games like Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons.

In other news, Ubisoft revealed Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era at Gamescom 2024. Also, check out the update on Black Myth: Wukong’s Xbox release. What are your thoughts on the upcoming G.I. Joe game being an open-world title? Let us know in the comments.
