Gentle Mates has officially stepped into the highest echelon of Call of Duty esports with Los Angeles Guerrillas M8. This team, which is a rebrand from simply ‘Los Angeles Guerrillas’, has received a significant upgrade over previous rosters, with the organisation being bolstered by three recent world champions.
The foursome of Skyz, Lynz, Priestahh, and KiSMET will look to dominate the Call of Duty League as they have in recent years – but this time, it’s on Black Ops 6.
Nice One M8
With one of the best-produced introduction videos we’ve seen in years, Gentle Mates announced the arrival of the 2025 roster signing up to play under the new Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 banner.
Alongside Skyz, Lynz, Priestahh, and KiSMET will sit MarkyB, DREAL, and Lounet, making up the coaching staff.
MarkyB mostly recently saw success while coaching Toronto Ultra through 2021, when the team finished in first place at Major 2 and secured a second-place finish at COD Champs in the same year. DREAL comes to the team with a ring, having led the coaching team behind the New York Subliners, 2023’s world champion organisation.
Skyz, Priestahh, and KiSMET were all part of the team that lifted the trophy at COD Champs 2023, and while Priestahh was dropped from the squad ahead of the 2024 season, the reuniting of these power players should be nothing short of stellar.
Gentle Mates is one of the biggest esports organisations in Europe by the size of its following, and this is exactly what the LAG branding needed. In recent years, LAG has been something of a laughing stock in the Call of Duty League, so there are undoubtedly good things ahead.
