A user on the tech4gamers forum has spotted an intriguing job listing at FromSoftware, which can be traced back to Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon. According to this job listing, FromSoftware might be looking for someone to help with a DLC for Armored Core 6.
The ‘responsibilities’ section of the job listing states that FromSoftware requires a developer well versed in “modelling and texturing characters of robots.” Now, FromSoftware has only one game under its belt that deals with robots, and that is Armored Core 6. The game was released almost a year ago and has fared well with critics and audiences, so this is the right time for FromSoftware to announce a DLC.
Additionally, last year, mentions of a DLC were found within Armored Core 6 files. Reliable insider Zullie revealed that “a handful of lines in Armored Core 6’s message text” referenced a DLC. Messages such as “710000 DLC parts have been deactivated”,” “710030 Change in DLC ownership status has altered AC assembly”,” and more were spotted.
Moreover, players speculate that this job listing could be for a new instalment of the series instead of a DLC. However, it is hard to believe that Armored Core 6 will only receive additional content after AC 7 comes out. Seeing how well FromSoftware’s latest expansion (Shadow of the Erdtree” has performed, players can be sure that Armored Core 6 will receive the same treatment. However, we will have to wait for an official announcement to know for sure.
