Free to Play Game of Thrones RPG Announces Paid Early Access

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad has revealed an early access release date of March 26, 2025; however, players must pay to play the game. 

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is an upcoming free-to-play RPG by Netmarble, releasing for mobile and PC via Steam. The developers have announced that the Game can be played through early access as early as next week. However, as spotted by Gamespot, players will have to shell out a minimum of $24.99 to check out the game. 

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Early Access Details

Announced today, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad has three different editions players can purchase. All provide early access to the players along with additional content. The Standard Edition costs $24.99 and provides players early access, the Nothern Outfit, Jon Snow Emoji Pack, and 350 Iron Bank Mark (currency). 

The Deluxe Edition provides all the above benefits, including Battle Pass Premium, Wandering Crow Outfit, a mount (Horse), Founder’s Edition Name Plate, 750 Iron Bank Mark and 50,000 Copper (currency). Lastly, the Ultimate Edition for Game of Thrones: Kingsroad includes all of the Deluxe edition content along with Battle Pass Premium+, two mounts (horse and direwolf), equipment for both mounts, 2,000 Iron Bank Mark and 200,000 Copper.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Early Access Content

According to the new trailer, players have a bunch of content to explore through Game of Thrones: Kingsroad’s early access. Players will be able to “explore all of Westeros”, unearth the land’s mysteries, face off against a variety of beasts and enemies, and interact with familiar faces such as Cersei, Jon Snow, and several more from the HBO series. 

In other news, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad announced a PC release earlier this year. Also, a star from the GOT series may feature as Lara Croft in Amazon’s Tomb Raider. What are your thoughts on Game of Thrones: Kingsroad’s early access? Let us know in the comments or on our community forum!
