Forza Horizon 5 Trailer Reveals Hide & Seek Mode Coming September 2024

In a new reveal trailer released today, Forza Horizon 5 fans got a look at gameplay for the upcoming Hide & Seek mode launching on September 10, 2024.

The announcement kicked off Xbox’s new Gamescom 2024 livestream. Today’s trailer confirms Hide & Seek is a 5v1 game mode where one “Hider” must race to the finish line while five “Seekers” pursue them.

The Hide & Seek mode will be available as a free update for online multiplayer gameplay. It features a ticking clock for Hiders to reach the finish line, as well as gauges for detection and progress.

The gauge features allow the Hider to play strategically, hiding “in plain sight” rather than simply trying to outrun opponents.

The new trailer also showcases in-game 4K footage of all the new mechanics. It reveals that the End Zone takes time to become active, and that there are Hider pings so that Seekers can plan and coordinate their efforts too.

Developer Playground Games recently announced that Forza Horizon 4 would be delisted due to licensing issues. It will go offline in December 2024, and as a result, Forza Horizon 4 beat a new all-time player peak record just a day later.

Forza Horizon 5 first launched in 2021, and Hide & Seek will be available on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and Game Pass.
